…and some other things.

As a product leader…

I’ve developed and released several products from start to finish over the past 10 years, with over 10 million downloads. I’ve built and managed cross-functional teams in agile environments. When it’s just me, I can talk to customers, create the vision, develop hypotheses, define the roadmap, design the UX, code the app and release it. I’m a many hat-wearer.

As a developer…

I’ve been developing iOS apps for 10 years, sometimes getting my hands dirty on the server side. My apps have been downloaded by millions of users. I tend to develop quickly at first to get something usable for customer feedback (even if we’re dogfooding it). Once I’m sure that what I’m building is going in the right direction, it’s time to optimize and polish.

As an entrepreneur…

My dev studio Dog on a Horse opened in 2010, initially to release a mobile app called Jagimo—The Social Mashup (jagimo.com). We soon pivoted to become a dev shop, providing product development services for clients and working with some of the top brands in the world. My next venture Quidd launched its digital goods marketplace in 2016 and had its series A led by Sequoia Capital before being acquired in 2020. My most recent company is focused on R&D in the blockchain NFT space, building consumer-facing products (unreleased). I am also toying with the idea of selling Dog on a Horse-branded merchandise (dogonahorse.com).

As a photographer…

Ever since high school, when I converted my bathroom into a darkroom, I have loved the hobby of photography. My style is street/travel and you can see some of my work on the photos page. I also curate a collection of thousands of ancestor photos I inherited from my grandfather. One of them is of my great great grandfather standing with his horse and his dog Tippy sitting on a horse—the photo that inspired the name of my dev shop, Dog on a Horse.
